MonkeyFlip Media is a content creation company producing high quality cinematic visuals for artists, athletes, businesses and brands. MonkeyFlip specialises in but is not limited to capturing active and dynamic movement on camera - much of which is demonstrated by my previous, ongoing and frequent work with dancers, sportspeople and fitness enthusiasts.
Based in London but open to working around the UK, MonkeyFlip Media is always looking to collaborate and expand the portfolios of anyone in need of a professional visual featuring their brand, message or expression at the forefront.
My name’s Joe, the man behind MonkeyFlip Media. Originally from the Midlands but I’ve been based in London for many years now. I’ve built up some great connections while living in London and have worked with a range of talented creatives in and around the industry.
With a personal background and experience in dance and fitness I have welcomed and embraced many opportunities over the years including performing, teaching, travelling. I’ve found these experiences to be greatly beneficial to my work, giving me an understanding of movement and how to capture it effectively. This has proven useful on job and encourages me to think creatively when approaching new projects. I’m adaptable and follow my own initiative which my filming experience has certainly developed, especially since I capture a lot of freestyle movers/dancers where the result and process can often change depending on the artist.
This creative thinking isn’t limited to dancers, I’ve found being able to adapt highly valuable when working with anyone on a shoot whether I’m capturing an individual, working for a brand, or shooting events. At the heart of it it’s the idea of collaboration that has helped keep me engaged in this line of work and is the reason why I continue to love what I do.
